Jupiter Hills Farm - About Us
Kat and Adam Dalton here, thrilled to share a bit of our dreams and adventures with you. Our journey together has been filled with passion, laughter, heartache, and a deep love of life. My affinity towards animals and food is a core of who I am, while Adam has a talent for turning hobbies into careers.
We started raising chickens in 2020 during Covid (didn't we all?) and, despite Adam's initial reluctance, have since hatched hundreds.
When I wanted to plant 100 garlic bulbs in 2023, Adam suggested that we go big and plant 600! Encouraged by his enthusiasm, we embraced the challenge, which ultimately led us to discover the joy of cultivating garlic and exploring its endless culinary possibilities. As of 2025, we have 12 different varieties and 15,000 planted. Each variety has its own unique flavor and characteristics, adding a rich tapestry of taste to our meals and creating an incredible connection to our local food ecosystem.
We also made the exciting decision last year to expand our horizons by welcoming pigs and sheep into our lives. This growth has not only brought new life to our land but it has also deepened our understanding of the cycles of farming.
We invite you to join us on this whimsical journey. Whether you’re an experienced farmer or simply curious about homesteading, we hope you find connection to our story. Life on the farm can be crazy and chaotic at times, but it’s also incredibly lovely—filled with the sights and sounds of pig snorts and rooster crows, laughter over home-cooked meals, and the fulfillment of watching our dreams take root. Thank you for being a part of our adventure!
